Mid Argyll Community Swimming Pool

Mid Argyll Community Pool is a social enterprise, owned and operated by Mid Argyll Community Enterprise Ltd, and is a Registered Charity in Scotland. The swimming pool was opened in 1996 and attracts between 30,000 - 40,000 users each year within a small catchment area of around 9000 residents.

Argyll has a huge coastline and therefore the life skill of swimming is essential. This precious skill is taught through our Learn to Swim Programme which is available for all ages and abilities ranging from Adult and Child (0-3 years), Level 1-8 (Scottish Swimming) and adult lessons. Mid Argyll Community Pool is also an invaluable resource for local schools allowing children to further their physical development whilst learning to swim in a high quality, safe environment.

The pool provides a range of other learning and fun recreational activities and sessions for community groups, local corporate groups and many clubs and youth groups including Mid Argyll Triathlon, Mid Argyll Youth Project, AquaFit, Aquarun, Life Saving Club, Masters, Aquanatal, Water Polo, Over 50s swims, Fit for Fifty, Youth Swim Fit, Dalriada Dolphins Amateur Swimming Club and water confidence classes for people with a disability are also run by the pool on a regular basis.
